Children Welcome!

Godly Play begins again on Sunday 22 August! See below...

If you are looking after a young child you may feel anxious about bringing them to church.  Be assured, children are especially welcome as part of our worshipping community.

They often seem to feel comfortable and at home in the building, and enjoy the colourful activity of worship and its quieter moments.  

If you want to take a restless child out of the service, a comfortable hall is available, and there are gardens all around to play in. 

We are now offering a creche for small children.

Crèche

We are now offering a crèche for younger children. Run by Zoe Mills, this is in the hall during service times. 

If your young child is getting restless or noisy here is a place to go, with cushions and toys and friendly grown-ups.

Godly Play

Outside holiday times we will offer Godly Play for children who can be left by their mums and dads.  

Godly Play teaches children the art of using religious language - parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action - helping them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. 

The children begin the rest of us in the service then go out to the Godly Play room, returning in time for communion. 

They will sing together, become familiar with the great bible stories and be listened to as they share their thoughts and experiences.

All Age Services

Once a month or so we have a family service when the children stay with the rest of us throughout and take a full part in the worship.

Taking Communion

If your children have been used to taking communion then they are welcome to do so here – whatever their age.  We leave this up to you.

Safety

Everyone who works with children here has been vetted with the Swedish authorities to check for past offences.

Anyone with an offence against a child or minor is absolutely prohibited from working with children or vulnerable adults.

A detailed Child Protection policy has been adopted by the church in accordance with the stringent guidelines of the Church of England.
